The ‘TSG Trainer’ will primarily support the ProjectWise team in Solihull that delivers a collaborative project hosting service to the UKMEA and Europe regions of the firm. The team expansion is being driven by a new large multiple disciplinary project.
The individual will deliver ProjectWise training and provide on-going learning support to users, both internal and external. This role will require some travel to other UK locations to deliver training locally.
Training will encompass how to use the ProjectWise software solution, inclusive of BIM (Business Information Modelling) and project processes used in the construction industry. This is centred on BS1192 and the CDE (Common Data Environment).
The post may expand to include other technical software in the future.
Role
The post holder will undertake the following tasks:
• Organise training events, including diary appointments, training facilities and communications
• Deliver in-person ProjectWise workshops and remotely via ‘Skype for Business’ or similar to both remote users
• Provide train-the-trainer sessions
• Provide training support via electronic helpdesk, email, telephone, etc.
• Keep records of training activities
• Run regular ProjectWise surgeries to answer queries
• Actively ‘walk the floor’ to assist user’s one-to-one
• Proactively market available training opportunities and ProjectWise capability
• Design and prepare educational aids and materials, inclusive of PowerPoint, pre-recorded AVI’s, PDF user guides, etc.
• Identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
• Overall reporting to the ProjectWise team leader with day to day reporting to ProjectWise Administrator
Requirements and skills
The post holder should have the have the following:
• Experience of design and delivery of innovative, modern training documentation
• Professional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt their communication style based on the audience
• Strong editorial, quality assurance skills and attention to detail
• Strong technical aptitude and a desire to learn and work with new technologies
• Good team focus
• Flexible approach to work in order to deal with change
• High PowerPoint proficiency is advantageous
• Experience in developing e-learning is advantageous
• Good desktop application skills i.e. MS Office
• Ideally a knowledge of design application software like Autodesk and/or Bentley products would be an advantage
• This position is preferably based in Solihull with travel 10-20% as part of the job
Essential Skills and Knowledge
You should have demonstrable evidence of typically over 5 years’ experience of training, ideally inclusive of;
• ProjectWise (Bentley Systems)
• BIM CDE processes (BS1192)
• Project delivery processes in the construction industry, ideally, experience of large-scale multidisciplinary projects
