The primary focus of the role is to provide leadership for regional IT in the areas software development, cloud and business systems. In addition to this, key responsibilities include:
Building and developing DevOps capabilities within the Operations team
Establishing and managing a regional IT Cloud team
Providing leadership and support to the regional IT team
Managing regional software development projects
Ensuring that IT are providing capability and infrastructure to support software development throughout the region
Planning, developing and implementing business systems to meet regional requirements
Building and supporting the regional software development community
Managing own staff in terms of workload allocation and quality of delivery
Participating in system reviews to identify problems, solutions and needs for upgrades
Taking a lead role in the delivery of large and/or complex region-wide projects
Monitoring application systems, noting problems, identifying performance trends and taking corrective action within scope of agreed procedures
